"Look behind you! A three-headed monkey!"

I just had Jem over my house for a few hours. ^_^ I showed her the proof sheet of the wedding photos, so she decided on what ones she would like to order, both for her and for Jess.

I was also playing the Resident Evil GameCube remake - I felt like starting a new file. I was in a kind of "fuck you, undead wankers" sort of mood during this play time, so I got the shotgun earlier than I usually would, and instead of creeping around the mirror corridor waiting for that fucking Crimson Heads to jump out at me, I just charged the corner, straight into him, and unloaded the shotgun into his ass (after he gave Jill a severe glomping of doom, but still). They still scare the crap out of me, though.

Another moment worth mentioning is when I took a route I'd not taken on my previous playthroughs. To get back to the main hall, I decided to take a detour through the chequered corridor - the one that, when you pass through it for the first time in the original Playstation game, two Cerberus (...or should that be Cerberi?) burst through the windows. In the remake, they don't burst through, but the glass in one window cracks a little as you pass by. So, I assumed that they just didn't appear in this game, just to make those who have played the original game feel tense and expect something to happen.

Now, during my previous playthroughs, I only felt the need to pass through that corridor about once during the first part of the game. However, this time, when I decided to take my little detour, assuming it would be totally problem-free, I was running through the corridor, minding my own business, when SMASH!! One of the dogs crashes through one of the windows and pounces on Jill, causing me to shriek like a loony and leap about a foot into the air, before going into "HOLYSHITRUN!!" mode and tearing past the other window, which was, of course, then shattered by the other dog coming in. XD It was evil, yet rather awesome at the same time - I wouldn't have expected them to have moved that famous first Cerberus appearance to when you might be passing through the corridor again, although to be honest I probably should have. It certainly did a good job of giving me a big surprise.

Right, now I'd best hang out the washing. The machine's beeping at me again.

jem, gaming, wedding, resident evil, washing machines live longer with calgon, photos, jess, ebil game enemies
