*Waves* I are back. ^_^
We didn't really do a whole lot at the con, probably because there didn't seem to be many people we know attending this year. We did manage to get a pretty decent haul, though - I'll probably type up a list tomorrow, or something, since I'm feeling a tad lazy at the moment. :P
I now wish I had gone ahead with one of my (many) cosplay ideas (currently, I've been greatly leaning towards
Maria of Silent Hill 2,
Ayane of Dead Or Alive,
Candy Cane of Rumble Roses,
The Boss of Metal Gear Solid 3 or
Pucca) but since I've been so strapped for cash lately I decided to wait. I may do some cosplay if I attend the London Expo in October, but then again I don't like the idea of travelling on the DLR in costume. XD That, and most of my costume ideas would show far too much skin for autumn/winter. o_O (We aren't going to the May Expo, since we are trying to save money, after all.)
Some of the cosplay was pretty awesome - especially the guy and two girls who cosplayed as freaking Pyramid Head (movie version) and two nurses. :D My reaction was something akin to "Holy crap, that's amazing!". I've wanted to cosplay a Silent Hill nurse for a while (preferably SH 2 or SH 3), but I don't think I'd be able to pull it off quite as well. We made a recording of them at the masquerade - I may post it on YouTube when I get the chance.
I didn't end up using my tartan skirt, after all. I saw a plain black one for a tenner in a shopping centre, so I used that one instead. XD After purchasing it, obviously.
I also got myself a brand-spanking new phone, because my old one has pretty much decided to conk out on me. I've wanted one with Mp3 ringtones, anyway - I've spent a good portion of the evening deciding what to put on there. Unsurprisingly, I've put a lot of computer game stuff on there, as well as the Ju-On theme and the Radetsky March. :P
That is all for now. Happy Mother's Day!
