Right, time for a brief overview of the past few days:
On Friday, the lovely
velmaneuwirth came over for a few hours, where we proceeded to...... watch stuff. Namely the first episode of Firefly. I've not really seen much of it before (prepares to be lynch-mobbed by the Firefly fans on her f-list), but this has got me a bit more interested in it. =)
I'd like to watch the whole series sometime - mind you, this is coming from the lass who hasn't even seen Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars yet (and y'all should know how much of a hardcore FS fan I am), so it'll probably take me a few hundred years to get round to Firefly. I have a habit of putting off watching/playing something, even if I show a huge interest in it.
Then I went to work. I was on lollipop duty for my entire shift. Joy.
Saturday, I went to work again, in spite of the fact that I was feeling a tad bit shite. I got a little better though. In the evening, I went to sleep over at my gran's house. I haven't slept over there for years, and, anyway, she could do with a bit of company nowadays. My mother had also purchased a portable DVD player on that day, so gran allowed us to watch it. Hey, it kept us entertained. I think I freaked the poor woman out with Ju-On: The Grudge though. XD
Sunday, I spent the morning at gran's with Euan (he came to visit for a few hours) before we went to Juliette's house for lunch. Dad and Juliette are on their honeymoon at the moment, but Jules' mother, Cynthia, was looking after the kids for the time being, so she decided to invite gran, Alice and I over for Sunday lunch.
Later in the evening, I went to work again. It was after the store had closed, so a lot of people are working overtime to help get the re-fit/extention completed. It wasn't so bad, really, and the fact that I get paid "time and a half" on Sundays helps a lot. I could seriously do with the money. *nods*
It was funny during everyone's tea break, though. There were builders in the canteen, and they were being arseholes and objecting to the staff walking into the canteen and buying food - which, of course, we have every bloody right to do. *eye roll*
However, one co-worker - whose name I can't recall - didn't take any shit from the builders. She went up to one and said, rather matter-of-factly: "Oh, sorry, are we in your way? Well, you can shove it up your shitpipe.". XD *snicker*
Today? I haven't been up to much, although I did order The Eye from
Play. I've been wanting to see that film for so frickin' long, and the fact that Play are having a sale convinced me to buy it there and then. =D
I still have a cold, and my eye has been twitching for ages. O_o
Anyway, I think I'll go and make some icons..... and do housework. Joy.
