A dream, of the "severely-messed-up" variety

It is that time of the evening when Aimz suffers from boredom. Oh, yes. Well, I did promise to type up descriptions of my latest weird dreams. Since I can't be bothered to type them both up at this moment in time, I'll describe the dream that I had yesterday morning:

I was falling down a huge, elevator-like shaft, along with some people I know - these people included Jem and Kayleigh. I can't remember who anyone else was, but I am fairly certain that I know them.

Anyway, once we had stopped falling, we all looked upwards and we were forced to roll quickly out of the way, as an enormous crusher-type thing was heading down the shaft towards us at an alarming rate. However, a few seconds before the crusher impacted with the floor (where we had been lying previously), I noticed, with horror, that there were chunks of raw, bloody flesh lying in the corner. The crusher (which resembled a piston of sorts) came crashing down with a loud thud, causing the whole building to vibrate. It lingered like that for about four or five seconds, before shooting back up the shaft again.

By this time, everyone was very shaken, as you can imagine. As we looked around, we saw that we were in a reasonably-sized room with a very high ceiling. The walls and carpet were blue, the ceiling was painted white. Directly in front of us was the exit of the shaft that we had fallen out of (as well as the chunks of flesh that remained in the corner). Beyond this shaft lay a pair of automatic sliding glass doors and a glass wall, allowing us to see the grassy land and hedgerows that lay outside of this building.

We soon realised that we had to run underneath the shaft, on by one, before the crusher came back again. We would have to time it properly, otherwise we might perish.

It was then I noticed that there were two other people standing very close to (but not underneath) the shaft. They were dressed in simple blue factory-worker uniforms of some sort. They explained that they were here to aid us in evading the crusher type-thing.

So, one by one, we tried to escape. Some people managed to make it past the crusher with no trouble (these people included Jem and some old woman who looked a little bit like my old school nurse). Others weren't so lucky. We could only watch in horror as the crusher mashed them into tiny chunks, Quake 2-style.

Eventually, only myself and Kayleigh were left (apart from the two worker-type people). Kay ran underneath the shaft safely. I was left, standing very close to the shaft with the two workers. The workers were shouting at me to go before the crusher decended again, but for some reason, I was paralysed with fear. I stayed like this for about thirty seconds before one of the workers shouted something along the lines of "Just go, the crusher isn't going to hit the ground for at least another minute! Go now!" Panic kicked in and I started to run as fast as I possibly could (which was made rather difficult because my legs were shaking). It must have only taken a few seconds for me to run underneath that shaft, but it felt like hours.

As soon as I reached the opening automatic doors, I flung myself out of the building and landed on my stomach on the warm grass. I lay there, panting heavily, before getting to my feet and running towards the other people who had escaped. For some reason, a huge crowd of people had gathered as well. They all looked scared half to death, and relieved at the same time. I ran towards them, flung myself at some random boy to hug him (please don't ask me who he was, but I apparently knew him in this dream), and I awoke shortly after.

Stop giving me funny looks. I have no idea what it was all about, either.

You will never guess what happened when mum tried to take the DVD back to swap it for another copy. She left the house, drove all the way up to the supermarket - and left the DVD at home. *Slaps forehead*

She is now leaving that little task until tomorrow morning, after she drops me off at the hotel (yes, they want me to work this weekend, too - I do love having a job where you don't have to turn up unless they tell you when they want you to work).

Oh, I almost forgot: It the birthday of the actor Nicholas Brendon today. Happy birthday, Nicholas!

One more thing: I am now using my new Scorpius icon. Like it?

Toodles!
