Okay. I was just typing up this reasonably long entry, and then I accidentally clicked on a link and I fucking lost the damn thing.
*Takes a deep breath*
Raaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Okay. Now that's over, I shall get on with re-typing the stupid thing.
Since neither of my parents can give me a lift to work tomorrow (as they are going to see Alice participate in a kickboxing/weapons tournament), Euan's mother offered to give me a lift. As I'm currently at Euan's, I suppose you could say that our holiday has already begun. =D
As mentioned in my last entry, I slept over his house again on Thursday night, in order for us to go food shopping on Friday morning. I also bought a cheap CD (Blu Cantrell - Bittersweet). I went back to my own house later in the afternoon.
Much later in the evening, I had two of the worst spider encounters that I have had this year. For those of you who don't know, I am petrified of most spiders. Don't give me any of that "Oh, spiders can't hurt you, they're probably more scared of you than you are of them" bullshit. I'm scared of them, and that's that.
Anyway, I was in the process of playing Onimusha 3, when Alice came downstairs, wide-eyed and panicky, and basically informed me that there was a really large house spider in our bedroom.
So, arming myself with a can of hairspray and a rather large book, I edged slowly into the bedroom. Upon seeing the spider, I promply began to shake and hyperventilate.
Now, bear in mind that I am too afraid to even try and kill spiders, in case they make a run for it, or something like that. But, I managed to surprise myself by actually going up very close to the spider, aiming the book, and squashing the bugger into the carpet.
I hoovered the spider up, and that was the end of that little incident. Or so I assumed.
A little while later, I was downstairs on the computer, and I was just getting over it (the spider), when I happened to glance into the hallway and...... yep, you guessed it, and even bigger house spider darted across the door of the under-the-stairs cupboard.
In short: I screamed. I hyperventilated. I shook with fear. I eventually ran out of the living room. I grabbed another large book. The spider began to move again. I instructed Alice to shut the living room door so that the spider couldn't get in. I bashed the book against the wall in order to make the spider fall to the floor. The spider fell to the floor. I ran towards it. I slammed the book on top of it. I jumped up and down on top of the book. The twitching legs poking out from underneath the book indicated that the spider still hadn't snuffed it. I grabbed another large book and slammed it on top of the first one. Alice grabbed another book and slammed it on top of the second one. Alice stamped on the book pile. The spider stopped moving. We left it there for mum to clean up once she got home from work. Ta-da.
So, yes, I was rather jumpy and paranoid throughout the rest of the night.
So, what happened today? Well, I packed the rest of my holiday stuffs, for starters. I also paid a visit to my gran's bungalow, as she had my great-aunt Mollie and my cousin Sue around to visit from Wolverhampton - AKA City of the Ridiculously Rich Relatives. Honestly, practially all of my known Wolverhampton relatives are stinking rich. Sue practically travels the world every year, Mollie has a huge bungalow, and my assorted other cousins all have multiple houses and expensive cars between them.
Anyway, since I have to be up early tomorrow, I shall be off to bed soon. Goodnight, all.
