Work was utterly frustrating today (I was hot, I was irritated with all the rushing around, my feet were aching like frell, and I was absolutely knackered), but, eh. At least I got everything done. When times get like that, all one can do is mutter "Think of the money, think of the money, think of the money......".
A rather frightening incident occurred, too. While I was cleaning out one of the rooms, this man came up to me, asking me where one of the girls I work with (whose name I won't mention, I'll just refer to her as 'B') was. The thing is, B has been ill recently, so she hasn't been turning up for weeks. I assumed that the man was B's father, and told him that she wasn't in.
However, he got all huffy, saying "Yes she is, she texted me". Puzzled, I explained that she was not in, that I hadn't seen her all day. So he sort of gave me a strange look, and then walked off. I thought the whole incident was quite bizarre, but I soon forgot all about it as I started cleaning again. I didn't even wonder what he was doing, walking around the corridors.
I certainly didn't trust him, though. As soon as I saw him, I began experiencing 'bad vibes'. Which is never usually a good sign.
But that wasn't the last I saw of him. As I was wandering down to the stock cupboard, I saw him again - harrassing Adele, who was all "She isn't in today!", and he simply walked off with an extremely foul look on his face. Adele proceeded to follow him, but I didn't stick around to hear the conversation.
Shortly after, Adele came up to me, and she was rather shaken up. She didn't explain why until she informed Alex of what had happened. She was saying "He's back again. God, I'm shaking. Secure all the fire exits so he can't get in", that sort of thing.
When I asked who he was, Adele replied "B's ex-boyfriend". That said it all, really.
I didn't see any more of him, but I was given instructions to make an urgent phone call to the reception desk if he tried to pull any similar stunts. And, of course, to secure the fire exits on the floor on which I was working.
Needless to say, I was jumpy throughout most of the day after that. (Well, wouldn't you be, if there was some stalker-type bloke wandering around?)
On a positive note, I managed to start playing Legacy of Kain: Defiance before it had to be returned to Blockbuster. *Extremely happy dance* I only got to play it for about half an hour, sadly. I now want - more than ever - to own that game.
Naturally, I'm now in the mood for making Kain icons. =D
