mmmmmmmmm prayer

ok so today was amazing in a way that most days are not amazing.  during C lunch, Alex Kolodner led a group of friends to the french room to hold a prayer session.  i was included as well as Sarah Boone, Rachel McGrain, and Melanie Fritz.

as we sat there in a peaceful circle, I felt cleansed as well as happy to be there with my friends.  it is one thing to pray in temple, church, a masque, etc.... but it is a whole other thing to pray with your friends in school on a spontaneous excursion.

but the fact that we were praying was not what made me so happy.  it amazed me that the fact that we were from three different religions we were able to join together and pray to the same G-d and find peace within the same savior.

i know that these religions are not particularly conflicting or anything, but i have only experienced the prayers of those that belong to my own religion.  it was interesting to see the bond that can be shared through an easy source of connection.

i just wanted to express how happy i was all day because of the one simple fact that we, as a group of friends, were able to find a common ground in something that is predominant in most of our lives, religion.  and even though we came from different religions, we still had that bond and it was just amazing
