In other news, we have a puppy, and it is fabulous. Well, he is fabulous, that is Aranisle The Sundance Kid AKA Sunny, AKA our pretty new King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Ruby pup :) He is hysterically cute and loved by all who see him (with the exclusion of our cats, who hate him with a passion.)
The problem with the cats is the language barrier. To the puppy, going bounding up to someone means, 'I like you, be my friend please?' To the cats, such behaviour means 'I hate you, submit to my superioty now please. No? No? Well put 'em up, chump!' Naturally the puppy is learning this the hard way, and the cats are more than confused. When my mother stepped in to try and avoid Bingo scratching at the puppy, the cat reacted bedly to the double attack and went streaking off into the bushes. I giggled.
