Heeeeeerrrrreee's Tommy!
As I type this I am sitting in my sister and brother-in-law's apartment, glancing over at my NEW NEPHEW about every ten seconds. I'm proud to report that Thomas Laverne was born at 1:17 PM Pacific Time on July, 22, 2008, weighing in at 7 lbs., 11 oz. and measuring 19 inches long. Everything went beautifully, and I am now a very happy and proud aunt! My sister was supposed to have Tommy via C-Section on July 23 (my Birthday), but he decided he wanted to be here to celebrate his Mom's Birthday too (which is July 22), so Tommy and his mom share a birthday!
There's not much more I can say about it because I love him too much for words, but I do have an album of pictures up online. If you're ready for some major cuteness, click here to view the pictures. This album will probably get updated quite a bit, since my mom and I are here for another week. My dad has to go back to work Monday, but Mom and I will be able to soak up the new-baby-love till next week.
Anything else that has happened on this trip pales in comparison to a new baby, so I will leave this entry at that for now. I might get a chance to post again before going home, but I may be too busy with Auntie duties. Love to all of you until next time!
