Happy Birthday to me!!!
Even though my bio family sucks, my local family really rocks! I was having a crummy day yesterday, but it ended on an awesome note! First, I had to go into the lab and practice patience with my lab underlings. Then my 3 hour class went overtime because not everyone was finished with their presentations by 6 p.m. Also, I forgot to save my powerpoint presentation in .ppt (I use Open Office), so I had to wing it and talk to my class as my presentation. I felt okay doing that, but I think my professor views me as a slacker. Anyway, Cindy came to pick me up, and to make up for my family not sending me any birthday cards this year, Cindy, Rowan, Baren and Matthew got me multiple b-day cards. I got a Birthday Prince crown and I made everyone else wear birthday hats. We had birthday night fondue at the house! They put up a birthday banner for me and a little drawing pointing to the dining table when I first came through the front door, so I wouldn't accidentally go into the kitchen first to see the fondue plans. Hehe. I got to drink Smirnoff Apple and have glasses of wine. Also, both Mona and Georgie called me! I was very happy that they remembered, even though my memory sucks and I probably wouldn't have been able to do the same for them (without Cindy reminding me). Georgie told me to go outside and look up at the sky b/c he made the Lunar Eclipse happen just for me. lol. I've got some pretty nice friends. I'm lucky that they think of me, even when my bio family doesn't and makes me feel bad about myself. Much love to everyone in my house and everyone who called me yesterday!
