Hello, dear flist.
Well, I'm finally off that mountain and out of the little bubble that I've been in lately, and the first thing I find when I switch on the TV in what has been over a week, is tragedy.
I've been a longtime lurker on LJ, and I was both stunned and amazed at the explosion of goodness and kindness that came about as a result of help_haiti earlier on this year, and at that time, I was only skulking about one fandom. Now that I'm officially a part of the LJ community, it's even more astounding to see exactly how many people want to help out of the goodness of their hearts.
That being said, in response to the recent bout of deadly flooding in Pakistan, help_pakistan is now up and running and taking bidding until Saturday the 28th, and I am most definitely offering my writing services. So to anyone who would like to bid for a fic, the thread is here. Bidding starts at $5.
Of course, I'm not asking or insisting anyone donate money if you can't (so don't feel pressured!), or even to bid for a fic from me. It is completely up to you, and there are plenty of stellar individuals there offering fic, fanart, audio offerings, and more. All I ask is for you guys to help get the word out, and to keep the people of Pakistan in your thoughts and prayers.
