for anyone who missed it. i'm moving back to escondido in the near future. with my mom, brother & his g/f part time. life is pretty dull. work work work. i gave paul a haircut last night. he wouldnt let me wash it though. arg. but as payment did loan me his extensive cd collection. until tonight.. which means i'm in music overload. oh i'm becoming increasingly more deaf & blind. not remotely kidding.

for anyone not keeping up in wordly matters, you should really check out the 'www.one.org' site. it wouldnt kill any of us to divert our attention towards something more worth while.

anyways just thought i'd share some food for thought to all the meat eaters..

the animals we raise for food require more than 1/2 the water used in the US and 1/3 of all raw materials- including fossil fuels. just think for a minute about how much food is grown to feed cattle, how much water is used to grow that food and how much pollution is pumped into the air by some semi to ship the carcass to a store. not to mention how much waste the animals create. 26 billion animals are killed for food every year in this country, thats more than 4 times the human population of the planet.

consider this:
"It takes 2,500 gallons of water to produce a pound of meat, but only 25 gallons to produce a pound of wheat. A totally vegetarian diet requires 300 gallons of water per day, while a meat-eating diet requires more than 4,000 gallons of water per day.

Producing just one hamburger uses enough fossil fuel to drive a small car 20 miles."

hmm, so we waste and create more waste to eat an animal- while the act of habitually doing so will eventually give about 40% of people a heart attack. not to mention, here's all this effort to aid these impoverished foreign countries & the average american cow makes more money than they will see in a lifetime.
