I got to see my brother today, and that alone made the day great. Last time it felt like we barely got to get the little things out of the way and today we talked more, got to know each other more. He amazes me how strong he is... He's been really ill for a while, apparently, which surprised me the most that I was able to see him today. I mean...he looks really sick, but he still wanted to wish me a happy birthday. I couldn't have asked for more.

Oh, and he gave me an acoustic guitar. I didn't remember that I had mentioned that my old one got lost, so he got me a new one. It's...perfect.

So...now I'm 28. New year, new life, I guess...
