This could be my last post before leaving for Hong Kong early Monday morning. The weather is decent (60-75 degrees) and I don't know why my Dad told me to dress warmly for the trip. I got a black top and a pair of black pants for the funera,l which should be in christian tradition. I will be packing things away on this computer desk along with this ( Read more... )

I'm glad that you made it safely. I hope that everything is going well. Does Hong Kong have good street food? That's one of the things I really miss about Korea. If they do have something for me =)

Oh sure they do! There are tons of little shops here with street foods. Unfortunately, I haven't had any of that because we've been eating out at restaurants every day since I've been here.

I'm jealous (not of what your family is going through, but of the food) =) There was a lady down the street from my apartment in Seoul that made the most amazing kabobs, and they were less than a dollar. Are you taking lots of pictures?

Gosh, those things are sooo good. My Mom sometimes makes those when we bbq and have people over. I actually haven't taken a lot of pictures, but just a few family pics. The last couple of days were really depressing with the funeral services. Today is really the first day not dealing w/ it and hopefully moving on with our lives.

I gained a bunch of weight in Korea. I was so tempted by the food. I love spicy food, and they had so much delicious spicy food.

Did the funeral go well? Is your Dad doing alright?

I don't want to think about how much weight I will gain. I gain weight every time I come back to HK - 3 times in the last 5 years. They like spicy food here, too. I can't really eat it, though. :(

I believe it was my first time in my life seeing my Dad cry. He was even crying out loud. It made me really really sad. I think he's doing better, but he just got food poisoning. They went to some restaurant we went 2 years ago...my stomache hurt also from eating their leftovers. Other than that, the food is still great here. :D It's going to be my last full day in HK today.

I forgot that you don't like spicy food. That sucks that you guys are deling with food poisoning on top of the funeral =(

Have a safe trip home. Would you be interested in doing this: http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?CHECKSSO=0&RESET=0&EVENT_ID=1469165 with me on Sunday? I'm not racing, but I think it would be so cool to make it to the top.

That sounds pretty fun! Actually sounds really hard, hahah. It's pretty early, though. I'm kind of interested but I have never done any real climbing before. :)

I think it sounds fun too. I haven't done anything like this before either. I'm assuming I'll be really sore the next day, but I thought it would be one of those cool things to say that you did, you know? Let me know if you want to meet me. If not, maybe we could meet after for lunch.

I won't be in time to register without getting charged for their late fee. :/ Let me know if there's anything similar to this next time. I would love to join!

Okay. Well I'll be around that day for awhile. I'll probably get lunch and wander around a bit. If you want to meet up somewhere let me know =) You may have to push me around in a wheelchair after all of those stairs, hehe.

I'll let you get some rest that day. I think you're going to be SUPER sore. I could barely make it with 6 levels of stairs back when I was still in elementary school. lol Good luck, Amy! My Dad will be borrowing my car this week, so hopefully we can hang out next week when you're available! :D
