My former neighbor in North Carolina posted a tweet today that had a link to a story about this guy who was arrested for bludgeoning a 4-month old kitten in the head & killing it. Initially, the police showed up after a report of a domestic incident…which only goes to show that this doucheknob has a history of violence, anger issues, whatever. Regardless, I'm absolutely disgusted & my heart breaks at the same time.
I think about Phoenix. How she was at 4 months old. She had only been in our home about a month & a half/2 months. She was still slightly boney from the malnourishment she survived while living in our alley for the first 6-8 weeks of her life. She was still getting her shots, getting spayed, teething and, most importantly, learning to trust her new family. she was pretty much defenseless despite her baby teeth being like razors and she was full of innocent love.
I look at Ralph….and even though I was not in his life when he was a puppy (and neither was Brendan as he adopted Ralph when he was about 2 yrs old), I still think about the abuses he may have faced before he was surrendered by his owners at a pound. It breaks my heart to think that someone may have been mean to him.
I see how happy they are in our household day in, day out. They chase each other, play with each other's toys, attempt to eat each other's food. Howl, chirp, mew, whine and even the occasional bark. they always seem to have smiles on their faces. Phoenix sits by our front door & "cries" when one of us takes Ralph out for a walk or potty. Ralph gets all jealous and comes to us bearing doggy kisses if we pet or play with Phoenix too much. They do tricks for their treats.
How some monster like this asshole could hurt something so delicate and precious is (again) disgusting. I'm pretty sure there is a special place in hell reserves for dicks like this. I was on a softball team once with women who worked in a prison, they told me the 2 things that will get your ass beatdown in prison faster than anything are 1. crimes against animals and 2. crimes against children. It's probably because both are defenseless and innocent. I hope this guy gets a broomstick shoved up his ass.
Considering that he did this crime in Virginia Beach and PETA is headquartered in nearby Norfolk, VA, I wouldn't be surprised if one of their more radical members assaulted him. It's probably a good thing that I don't live on the East Coast anymore because I would find this asshole and beat the piss out him myself. (no, I'm not in PETA, I do eat meat & wear leather).
Now, please excuse me….I must go lovingly molest my two fur children to keep from crying over this story.
