Dear People:
I am packing up my laptop as we speak (well, not quite) so this may be the last you hear from me in a bit. I will be driving to the airport in five hours! Damnit, why did I get up so early?
Barbecue last night was very lovely, thank you those who were there. Not very much like a barbecue though considering so much meat was left over and people gorged on the crispy noodles and chocolate-coated jelly beans. I was thoroughly spoilt by you lot and I promise plenty of emails and updates and possibly postcards (although I packed my address book at the bottom of a box so I'll email about that at some stage).
I also promise photos of me with a Swedish exchange student named Sven, but yeah.
So I am in my comfy plane clothes and just finishing up my packing. Good times. I think the Qantas baggage allowance is quite large so I should be fine. If I find internet in LA or New York you will hear from me in the next couple of days, otherwise, not until at least the second of january, probably later but possibly earlier.
So if I don't write before New Year, have a good one, don't get too drunk and let me know how it goes. I'll be in Halifax by myself *sob sob* (but actually Kumu will be there and I have her phone number now so it's okay)
