as you all know i work at verizon wireless as a technician. heres a story for you all to laugh at:
this older lady came in and said this "yes, i am a senior citizen and my maid was cleaning my house and dropped my phone in my bathtub." she then handed me the phone in question and to my surprise it was what looked like a house phone. in my heart i wanted deeply to believe that she really did not bring her HOUSE phone into a WIRELESS store. i said to her "well, its probably dead and wont work again." i suppose this word "probably" pissed her off to the point where she said to me "ma'am, i have been an educator for 30 years and probably doesn't cut it! you are not as intelligent as you are pretending to be." i looked her in the eyes and said "you have a good day!" as she turned to the door to leave. the manager as well said "have a good day" and she yelled at him " I WILL!!!!!!!!!!"
first of all, i did not want to be a bitch and say "Your HOUSE phone that we DONT SERVICE is DEFINITELY never going to work again." I didnt know how to respond to an IDIOT who would bring a phone that we cant fix in to the store for me to look at. So I tried to be a little subtle with her.
second of all, I love how she basically called me the dumb one when I wasnt the one who brought that shit in there to begin with.
