I claimed both Naraku as a character and Naraku/Kagome as a pairing over on iy_no_kakera and I'm tentatively starting a new series entitled: Bound to Fall.

Possibly the only time his mother had loved him had been when he was still inside the womb. There he was safe and protected. There she couldn’t see it. Couldn’t see his devil eyes.
He had been joyful child.
With him tucked safely inside her womb she could laugh with her husband, pick out a crib, choose sleep suits and toys and pacifiers just like all the other expectant mothers in the world. Had she known, back then, that there was always the possibility of Naraku? She must have known.
He hadn’t. Embraced, warm, nourished, protected... loved. Those days that he will never remember were the best that he’d ever had.
Yet it must have been devastating on that day, the day he had been born and had opened his eyes. Ruby eyes that demonstrated his blood ties perfectly. That his father had become apparent... and the father was not the man who had spent two months decorating a nursery with cheerful yellow ducks.
That was the moment it shattered. The moment that the tiny baby Naraku had lost his mother’s love. All because she had lost the love of her beloved husband.
Now Naraku was the child of shame.
