Hey so today was pretty poopy. The wind is really really crazy high right now, so all night my screen on my window (which isn't tight enough) was clunking in and out and making a whole lot of damn racket. GRR! I just kept putting a pillow over my head, and I'd finally fall asleep, then I'd wake up again when the pillow fell off. *cries* I didn't get deep sleep at all! Can someone say naptime?!
It's fricken cold here today, and it's going to get worse. The wind chill is so terrible. I'm so mad, it was so sunny and green and nice, then BAM... freezing. Oh well, that's the saying... "if you don't like Montana weather, just wait 5 minutes and it'll change". Seriously, that's our motto. No joke.
School was OK today. Instead of 2 hours of thyroid lecture we only got 1, so I was thanking God at that moment. I needed that extra time to study cephalosporin antibiotics for our antimicrobials exam on wednesday. Yaaay. not.
Free pizza for lunch for all that are volunteering on Saturday the 21st. Basically we are volunteering to give the potential new pharmacy students building tours and take them to their interviews, then we fill out an evaluation for each of them about how they were outside of the interview and how they were dressed, sociable, etc. Should be pretty easy. I remember my interview and how much the student volunteers made it more comfortable. I wanted to pay it forward :)
After free pizza it was integrated studies, and we were going over clinical cases of urinalysis. Pretty easy. Just look at the lab values of pH, glucose, ketones, protein, white blood cell count, red blood cell count, etc and decide what we thought was wrong with the patient. Most of it was diabetes mellitus and kidney stones. There was one where this crazy beotch put food dye in her urine to make it look like she had blood in her urine (hematuria) so she could claim worker's comp. How pathetic.
Anywho, that was my day. Time to take a shower and continue studying for the antimicrobials quiz on wednesday.
