Part 6: An Unexpected Date

“Kamenashi, do you have worms in your stomach?” Tatsuya finds himself asking the boy a bizarre question.

Kamenashi just smiles widely at him before gulping down another piece of chocolate cake, and then he starts to order more chocolate ice creams and strawberry desserts.

Tatsuya sighs; he really wants to go home now. They have been in the Sweet, Sweet Bakery for about half an hour and the plates just keep piling up. He doesn’t know why, but he is kind of awe that the boy isn’t such a messy eater. He can consume so heartily yet remain clean at the same time.

“Are you sure you don’t want any?” Kamenashi asks him with a big smile.

Tatsuya shakes his head.

“No, I’m good. I already lose my appetite after watching you gobbling those cakes down,” he replies neutrally.

Kamenashi only responds back with a silly grin. The boy then resumes back to consuming all of those desserts.

Tatsuya shakes his head as he looks around. He has a feeling that they are going to be there for a while.

Ten minutes of silent and Tatsuya is getting bored. He also notices that Kamenashi has already finished eating and is now staring back at him.

“Uh…you are finish right?” he asked almost hesitantly.

Kamenashi gives him a curt nod.

The waitress then comes by and places the tab on the table. And when Tatsuya glances at the tab of how much will be coming out of his own wallet, he decides not to comment on anything and just tucks his credit card inside the small green folder.

He already notes to himself that he is never ever going to invite Kamenashi to breakfast, lunch or even dinner. And if possible, he’ll try to avoid taking him out to eat at all.

After the waitress returns with his credit card, Tatsuya knows that he should call it a day. He wants to go home and buries his face into his pillow. He is completely exhausted.

“I want to go to the gym,” Kamenashi suddenly calls out once they’ve gotten out of the shop.

Tatsuya’s ears perk up a bit.

“Gym?” he frowns.

“You work out?” he questions.

Kamenashi just gives him a look like he has been insulted, and Tatsuya catches on really fast.

“Yeah, that is where I lose all of the fat. I have to keep up with my figure, you know.” he replies with a shrug.

Tatsuya finds himself glancing at Kamenashi up and down. He wants to say that what does a thin boy needs to keep up with, but he has a feeling that Kamenashi is much stronger than he looks from how he can kick and punch Yamashita and Akanishi.

“I see. Can I come along too?” Tatsuya asks.

He never thought of going anywhere with the boy but going to a gym will certainly catch his attention.

“That’s the plan. We are on a date anyway, might as well and make a good use out of it,” the boy gives him a cheerful smile.

Tatsuya ignores that part and decides that once in the gym, he’ll enjoy himself since he likes working out. If he is lucky, he might have someone to spar with.

___!___

“…hey coach, give us some clean towels,” he hears Kamenashi nonchalantly calls out.

Tatsuya frowns and stares at his hand that was filled with blood, his own blood.

Then once Kamenashi got the towels from the coach, he throws the towels at him.

“So it’s like that. We’ll have another date to the Sweet, Sweet Bakery right?” the boy smiles at him.

Tatsuya takes the towels and looks up at the ceiling to stop his bleeding nose.

Oh god, what have he just done. He has just unconsciously invites the most dangerous person out with him.

He is surprise that Kamenashi does boxing too and carelessly challenges him into a friendly match that somehow turns into a very intense match.

The next thing he knows, Kamenashi mentions about if he wins, then he should treat him again to which he just recklessly accepts the challenge, and not even a minute later, he loses.

He is still in shock that he loses, how the heck can he lose to this skinny boy? He has never lost a match, not even one.

“You have never lost do you?” Kamenashi questions him with a smile and squats down in front of him.

Tatsuya continues to look up at the ceiling since his bleeding still hasn’t stop. More than the inflicted pain that his nose might have been broken, he thinks that his pride hurt a bit. He overestimated himself. Apparently, there is someone who is much stronger than him.

“But it’s a good thing that you lost right? It’ll make you stronger.”

Tatsuya sighs; he wonders why he wasn’t offended at all. What’s more, he feels like the boy is right.

“…So do you want to have a match again?” Kamenashi questions him with that friendly smile of his.

Tatsuya stares at the ceiling, and his lips unconsciously curve. This boy is really cold. Does he have the intention of beating him up because he is sure that a date shouldn’t be this violent?
