I've been feeling guilty abut not doing it long enough, so today I am going to have a go at putting in what I consider a proper eight hour day. As soon as I finish up here I clock in, not literally of course, and I wok for two hours and then get a fifteen minute break. Then I work for two more hours and take half an hour for lunch, etc.
So...
- 09:30 - 11:30 . Clean kitchen, do laundry
- 11:30 - 11:45 . Break
- 11:45 - 13:30 . Clean bedroom, get David from bus
- 13:30 - 14:00 . Lunch
- 14:00 - 16:00 . Dishes, laundry, baking
- 16:00 - 16:15 . Snack break
- 16:15 - 18:00 . Clean dining room, make dinner, do dishes
- 18:00 . . . . . Work day over (ha ha)
Is this unreasonable? Possibly. Everyone I've mentioned my conviction that I ought to be putting in this sort of a day to thinks I'm nuts. But today I am testing this conviction on real life, to see what it looks and feels like and see what sort of results I get. I'll post my results at the end of the day.
So here, have some dragons:
Five minutes until work time, and I'm almost done with breakfast. This should be an interesting day. Later all!
[11:49 update] So far, so good. Lots of laundry done & out and lots of progress on the kitchen. Leftovers for lunch, I think, and waffles for supper.
