Erev Yom Kippur

Man, I am not feeling motivated this morning. I think the main problem is that I can't decide whether to put Ms. Amparo (the cleaning lady I want to get a job so I can hire) off until Monday as I wasn't as productive as I wanted to be this week and because I have some stuff that I need to do outside of the house this morning. I know, I'll call Adam & list the pros & cons. No, on second thought, having talked briefly to him, iChat, cos he's in a conference or something.

On the plus side, I could get more housework done this weekend (and I do actually accomplish stuff on weekends sometimes, really!) and I have a bunch of errands I need to get done before David gets home (drop stuff off at St. Vincent deP; run laundry through dryers at the laundromat, pick up prescriptions) and I can't leave to do them before she calls me to set up a time. On the con side, I'd just be delaying the inevitable - I do want her to look at my place and give me as estimate, and whenever she comes, it's not going to be perfect. If it were perfect, I wouldn't be wanting to hire her. Adam says just have her come, and I think I'll probably do that, and just get on with the dish washing and bathroom cleaning and floor mopping I was planning to do today. The stuff for St. VdeP is in my trunk, it can wait if it has to.

So, OK, to work to work:
  1. Sweep downstairs bathroom, laundry room, and library
  2. Put away, throw away, wash or launder everything swept up
  3. Mop all of above
  4. Sweep David's room
  5. Put away, etc. everything on floor
  6. Damp mop David's floor
  7. Put library rug back down
  8. Put David's rug back down
  9. Wash more dishes
  10. Break for lunch
  11. Regroup

So, time to break out of my paralysis and get at it. Excelsior!

And dragons:

lists, dragons, 90%+ humidity, barometer rising, housework, 60+ degrees, mostly cloudy
