Today is the sort of early summer day one dreams of in the dead of winter. I spent nearly an hour this morning just sitting in my garden and listening to the breeze. I pulled a few weeds, harvested a bit of mint and petted Lily, but mainly I just sat and enjoyed my garden. Yes, I see lots of weeds (mainly grass), but I see a lot more flowers, and it smells so good out there.
I've also scrubbed the sinks and got the fleishig dishes soaking and am making an album of the best of the pictures I took yesterday. As soon as it's done processing, I'll post it and link to it here.
Today I plan on doing fifteen minutes working on the middle floor alternating with fifteen minutes in the garden. I can't believe what a perfect day it is. And next week Ward's Berry Farm will start having pick-your-own, so I'll be able to get some strawberry jam canned. That'll be fun.
Who will buy this wonderful morning?
Makes you feel you're walking on air!
Every tree and flower is singing
How fortunate are we
to be alive to see
The dawning of a day so fair!
Who will buy this wonderful feeling?
I'm so high I swear I could fly!
What a sky, a heavenly ceiling
Inviting you to come and buy!
There'll never be a day so sunny
It could not happen twice
Where is the man with all the money?
It's cheap at half the price!
Who will buy
This wonderful morning?
Such a sky you never did see!
Who will tie it up with a ribbon
And put it in a box for me?
So I could see it at my leisure
Whenever things go wrong
And I would keep it as a treasure
To last my whole life long!
Bah, the album is taking too long. I guess I'll just put it in a different post when it's done. I want iced tea and brunch. Later all!
