100quills but as I wrote it I noticed that it didn't fit anymore. -.-;
However, I decided to post it nonetheless. Feedback is appreciated.

He always praised himself to be a very observant man. Unlike the others.
James was always caught up with activities, be it Quidditch or courting Lily or pranks. He was always doing something. Which, of course, usually hindered one to notice anything out of the ordinary.
Sirius was busy proving that he wasn’t a Black. At least not one of those. Now that he had turned his back on his family, he apparently needed to prove that he was a Gryffindor through and through. It was reflected by the house points - or the lack of them.
Remus was always occupied with being a werewolf. Always keeping his head down out of fear to be noticed, incapacitating him to notice anything apart from himself. Besides, he was busy mooning over Sirius.
Nobody of them detected him slowly gliding down a path he didn’t know how to avoid. Sinking deeper and deeper, until he finally fell into he abyss from which he had no hope to escape, ever.
