Pentagon: Hagel's Russian counterpart won't return his calls
April 26, 2014 Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel cannot get his Russian counterpart to take his calls, the Pentagon said Friday -- amid a new report that the Kremlin has suspended high-level talks with U.S. officials.
Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren told reporters that Hagel is trying to speak with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, but the Russian Defense Ministry won't return his calls.
"We have made it clear to the Russians that Secretary Hagel is available for a phone call anytime," Warren said. "We have reached out to them and made it very clear to them that he is willing to speak with his counterpart" -- but, Warren said, "we have not heard back."
"He wants to tell the Russians to de-escalate the situation in Ukraine," Warren said. "Their continued destabilizing activities along the Ukrainian border are unhelpful and they need to withdrawal their troops from the Ukrainian border and place them back into their garrisons and go about working to a peaceful resolution to the crisis."

In the last 72 hours, there has been an extraordinary movement of U.S. military armor -- by the trainload -- from several points in the U.S. toward U.S. ports for shipment overseas . . . to Europe. Given the situation in Ukraine, this overt mobilization seems ominous.
The four videos below show the several trainloads (that we know about) of U.S. M1A1 Tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles, Armored Personnel Carriers and HUM-V's which moved within the last 72 hours. We are told there are MANY additional trainloads we haven't (yet) gotten video of.

Рота американских десантников прибыла в Литву для участия в маневрах "Весенний шторм", инициированных НАТО. 150 американских солдат останутся в стране по крайней мере до конца года и будут принимать участие во всех плановых учениях сухопутной армии Литвы. 23 апреля полторы сотни солдат 173-й воздушно-десантной бригады США прилеели из Италии на север Польши, чтобы принять участие в учениях НАТО.
