update and to do list

I've been bored. But today I have more things to do than I will probably accomplish, so that makes me happy. I'm naked, cuz I just took a shower and it's hot as hell out. Actually, scratch "hot" and insert "muggy". Oh ridiculous D.C. weather. It's 1:30 and I woke up not too long ago. Last night I tried to stay up doing laundry but it was horrible. A mix between hyper and super tired and then when I finally gave up around 2:30 a.m. and tried to crawl into bed, Guille had spilled a glass of water on my side so I went and slept in the un-airconditioned guest room. Read a little, too.

I've been doing some decent partying lately, which is nice. The other night I went out with Jorge and Yoli (and Julian and Lizbeth and Tika and Mardon, but the first two are the really important ones). Jorge drank too much and ended up crashing in that same un-air conditioned guest room, then we went out for a dim sum breakfast the next day. I was the designated driver because I got my license Saturday afternoon. Yay! And, even MORE exciting, I got my CAR (!!!!!) yesterday. Which brings me to the list of things to do.

  • Prepare for tomorrow's phone interview for awesome job teaching mythology to middle schoolers
  • fold and put away all laundry (7 loads)
  • call about (and possibly go try on) bridesmaid's dresses for my sister's wedding (2 weeks!) No luck. Nordstrom's it is.
  • call people about apartment again. Hope that this time Dad doesn't pick up and start talking to me while I'm leaving a message.
  • call OB/GYN again. Not only do I need birth control (I haven't had any since Mexico and Oberlin wouldn't give me a PAP smear and thus no birth control either), I've got this lump in my left armpit that's been hurting for almost a month (see AZ? it didn't go away). I now have a July 5th appointment
  • call bubbly insurance lady and arrange to see the movie that will take money off my car insurance. Prepare to go transfer car's insurance and title to my name. That woman is a whirlwind.
  • get dressed It was nicer before I put clothes on.

I realize this isn't the deepest message telling about my inner feelings about graduating, but I don't really have any yet, so that's a no-go.

If you're in the area and want to chill ... call.
