You know what bugs me in music? Yup, you guessed it: bad grammar. I'm not talking about poetic license. The difference is when you're writing a song or poem, and you bend the rules of grammar to make it rhyme (like, I dunno, 'You and me are in love, whee!' (Okay, that's not a real song, but you know what I mean.)), that's okay. Or when you want to make it sound better (ex. 'Feel Good, INC.' sounds much less retarded than 'Feel Well, INC.' Sadly, well sounds retarded in most contexts, which is why people say good although it's incorrect. Anyways ...), that's okay, too. But bad grammar for the sake of being ignorant is not okay and makes the songwriter look stupid. What brought this on? 'Seven years has gone so fast'. That one line drives me insane. I't a great song, and a great band, but I want to kill whoever wrote that line. What were they thinking? That it sounded good? That it was cute? Were they actually dumb enough to think it was correct? Argh.
Heh. I'm gonna post this now. I have nothing else to say. And check out my current music.
