Goodbye for Real?
So Jaebum has officially been let off from JYPE. ;(((
Never thought I'd be this affected by the confirmation of his departure..
I have always been listening to their songs since they started, but it was only after Jae left that I was totally into them..
So I've always thought that when this day comes, I'd be perfectly fine with it.
But I was so wrong.
The announcement broke my heart. :(( It's really sad. Sighh.
Been reading loads of comments by fans and non-fans alike, and it seems that the consensus amongst them all is that:
1. JYPE is cooking up scandals to make the cancellation of Jae's contract seem justified. In other words, JYPE is 'spreading rumours' abt Jae so that Hottests would not scream unfair.
2. 2PM are wusses who do not have the guts to speak out about how they want and need Jae; even though they are like brothers.
3. Jae is happy at home and we should all be happy for him too.
My 2-cents worth about this issue?
I think that 1 is crap. Bull crap. I may not be one to say that I know what exactly goes on in the entertainment industry, but I am giving JYP the benefit of the doubt. I don't think that he would go through such underhand means to do that. I have faith in his professionalism. Because if he lacked professionalism, I don't think he'd be THIS successful as a musician and a producer. And a veteran at that.
In fact, I think that accusation 1 is mere wild imaginations of the very emotional and betrayed fangirls. If you ask me, it sounds too catfight-y and bitchy.
As for 2, do you really think that these boys have much say? At work, when you get the sack, your colleagues (nor you) do not really have the privilege to tell the boss to rethink his decision, do they? And this is IF, JYP himself is the one who wants Jae out for good.
I am for 3. I really think that Jae is happy at home. And he does not really want to come back and receive some more hate from anti-fans. I want to believe that he is the one who told JYP to cancel his contract cos he does not want to go back to Korea. After all, when JYP responded to Jae's departure in Sept, he did say that his return depends on Jae himself. Once he's ready, he will come back. So now that news is out, I can only infer that Jae is not ready after all, and that it IS his choice to not return to 2PM.
I don't think fans will ever get over this. Heck, some fans are already leaving the fandom ever this. wth. I mean, look at News and Kanjani8. Years on, fangirls still harbour some hope that Uchi might return. :((
My heart right now is with the boys from 2PM and 2AM actually. Especially since they ever so often mention Jae, tribute-ing wins to him and saying how they miss him. I can only imagine their pain from learning of the confirmation of their loss. It is indeed very sad and heartbreaking..
And I am sending loads of squishy huggles to them all. More huggles for Junho, my fave fake Rain. And Chansung too. His dark rings are only gonna get darker. I feel you bb. :(
