Comments: A double-drabble (200 words exactly) in response to challenge #40 (Endings) at am_100. Naomi is Pi's mum, just so we're all clear on that. XD X-posted a little, sorry!

It rained, and rained, and rained. Kazuya had never seen so much rain - well, he had, but not this year. It was getting to him, that all he could hear was the repetetive drumming of millions of raindrops... almost as though they were making fun of him.
"You can't be serious?" he asked finally, trying and failing to achieve eyecontact. A nod was the only response he got for a moment. It didn't make sense. Everything was going well, Kazuya was certain that he'd done nothing wrong - they were about to move in together! Why this, why now?
"I am," replied Tomohisa without conviction, shrinking back a little.
"Why?" Surely that wasn't too much to ask, a reason why Tomohisa was breaking up with him? It was so sudden, so random, surely there was some way to make him change his mind...
But when Kazuya heard the voice of Yamashita Naomi behind that of Yamashita Tomohisa as the older boy quietly mumbled 'because my family is more important', he knew all hope was lost.
Kazuya knew that Friday the 13th was unlucky - it had been since before anyone could remember. But he could never have imagined that it would destroy him entirely.
