One Year
It's so hard to believe that it has been a full year since Matthew was brought into this world. Yesterday, we celebrated his birthday. In the evening, we went out to dinner and then had cake and ice cream afterwards. Unfortunately, things were so crazy these last couple of weeks, we wound up forgetting to buy cake mix and had to get a ready made cake from Kroger. Still, it was something. They were out of number 1 candles, though. :(
He's growing up so fast. My baby boy isn't much of a baby anymore. He's walking, saying a couple of words, and soon he won't look like a baby anymore. Children just grow up too fast. I mean, there are many times that Kurt and I have wished more time would pass more quickly, but really...it passes too quickly as it is. It's so hard to remember my children as babies. As frustrating as certain stages can be, I'm glad time doesn't go any faster than it does.
I wish I could have updated this on his birthday, but...no time. Ah well.
