Okay, lessee...

On the first, Kurt and I set out for Georgia. We had planned to leave at 6.30, but we had a later night than expected and wound up getting out of there at 7.30. Kat did pretty well for being in the car so long. We stopped at lot more and it took us 18.5 hours to get there instead of the normal 15-16. We arrived at 3am eastern time. then, of course, she decided that she wanted to be awake. It was around 4.30am before she finally went back to sleep. Kurt took her, bless him, so that I could go ahead and go to sleep. Then she decided to wake up at 7.30. No, we didn't get much sleep that day. *G*

Fortunately, we didn't really have to do anything that day. We just hung around with my aunt and uncle and my mom and visited my grandma. The next day (Sunday), we visited a local church; it was a nice experience. After that, we visited my grandma and then we went back to my mom's and just vegged. Monday we did a cookout at my aunt and uncles using that pork recipe I posted not too long ago. We visited my grandma that day as well.

Tuesday, we went to visit justagirl412 and her family, which was cool. We all went to a park. It started to rain when we were there, but it was fun nonetheless. The ducks and geese didn't mind. :) We fed them bread. It was so funny to watch this flock just come towards us for that stuff. Afterwards, we went back to their house and her husband grilled for us. Yummy burgers! justagirl412 went to go speak with her husband while he was grilling and had to come back inside before she got sick; a rat had been caught in a trap! She's pregnant and nausea is a familiar acquaintance and that didn't help. I took a picture of it. You can see it here if you want. Yes, I am weird; why do you ask? After that, we headed home and cooked dinner; stir fry!

Wednesday, we went to Conyers (about 45 minutes away) to visit my other grandmother, my sisters, and my brother. We all went out to lunch together; it was good. Afterwards we went back to my grandmother's and talked some more and had cookies. :) I had brought in my camera, but for some reason didn't take any pictures. Needless to say, I'm kicking myself now. We visited my grandma after that (the one I spoke of before).

Thursday, we took lunch to my mom at work, then went out with my aunt to see my grandma then visit my uncle's work place since we'd never gotten to see it. After that, we went out for dessert. I went with my aunt to pick up her dog who had been rushed to the emergency hospital the day before. He was diagnosed as diabetic. Kurt, in the meantime, met with my mom to help her pick out a new telly; hers died. After that, we went out with my mom, aunt, uncle, my friends Jennifer, Sonny, Melissa, their two year old daughter, Jacob, Chip (who was like a mother to me) and Chip's mom for dinner. It was fun and nice to see people I haven't seen in sooooo long. I just wish we could have had more time to see people. Unfortunately, Kurt only gets so much time off from work.

Friday, we left around 8.45 central to come back up, but wound up getting here at 1.45am; so it only took us 17 hours coming back; we didn't have to stop as much. We crawled into bed and snoozed for a while. Of course, Kat's an early bird so we didn't snooze for too long. ;-) We found out that our new Pastor was moving in to his house that day! So, we decided to go help out. Kurt moved boxes in with the guys. Kat vegged in my pastor's sons' swing and I helped unpack. I was also given about 9 bags of old boy's clothes that they wanted to give away. Well, I don't have a boy, but we're planning on having more children. Kristin is also pregnant, so if she is going to have a boy, I'll just give them to her too. I took a few gender neutral things and also the heavy coats. They won't be needed down here, but they're 12 month size and we'll possibly be heading to Maryland for Christmas. Kat will be needing them then. Afterwards, we went by the store and then home.

Sunday was church as normal. We went and did a full grocery shopping trip, then home. I had Mindy come up and pick out from the clothes anything she wanted, since she already has a boy.

Monday, I vegged. Tuesday I went over to Mindy's house and we started sewing those grocery cart covers for babies; the ones that are supposed to make it a little more comfortable for them. I don't know how to sew, but Mindy's teaching me. :) That was also the day that the pull for the parking break on the grey car broke. Well, it released the parking brake so Kurt was able to drive, but he couldn't push it back down because he wouldn't be able to release it again.

Wednesday, I had the grey car. I don't usually go anywhere, so when I'm not planning to go somewhere, I have the grey car in case I do need it. Well, I decided to go to the library. What do I do when I get there? That's right, I put on the parking brake. I called Kurt, then went in and explained the situation to ask if I could leave the car there for a while. Two of the people who worked there were young men and one of them said the same thing happened to his brother. He went out and showed me where I could release the brake; All we have to do is attach a cord to the little switch! He was definitely a blessing since we can't afford professional repair; thank you God! I'm grateful for his blessings!

And now we come to today. Today is a no going anywehere day. Though, I did order this diaper bag from Land's End. The one we have was given to my mother in law by someone and she gave it to me after we had Kat. Unfortunately, it is now starting to split at the bottom. My friend Mindy has the same diaper bag and I was very impressed with it. So, I ordered it in Deep Claret and had it monogrammed since my other grandmother (the one in Conyers) gave us some money as a present in congratulations of Kat, etc. I didn't order it until Monday, but it looks like it's supposed to arrive today! Is it sad that I'm excited about it? *G*

Kat's been kind of fussy and doing weird stuff for the last few days. Kurt and I think she's teething again, poor baby.

Well, that's pretty much it. :)
