Reason Why Rebecca Wins Something-or-Another #11: Am having eel makizushi for breakfast. And you're not. A-woo-hoo.

I shall consider it my fondest of farewells to meatiness for the indefinite period in which I dabble in vegetarianism. Even if I decide to stick with it (which is iffy), I will never be a complete good vegetarian because I will always need to use real eggs and real butter when I bake, unless it's a specifically-formulated vegan recipe that's tried-and-true tested with substitutes (like the pie crust recipe I have for the sweet potato hand-pies that I WILL make before this winter is done). I'm sorry, my baker's conscience can't stand the thought of doing otherwise.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee three-hour car trip of death awaits! Probably I will just sleep through it.

(Probably the only thing better than sushi involving eel is sushi involving cream cheese. Crab-and-cream-cheese makizushi makes my eyeballs explode with wonderment.)
