Oh my gosh... my green giraffe socks that I thought were dead - they're alive!
Okay, wow, that first line was officially from five hours ago.
Today I attempted to clean my room some more. All I have accomplished thus far: repack crafts box, pack another box (which seems to be missing its lid) with odds-and-ends, put clothes-to-be-given-away in bag out in hall, and sort through old photographs. In other words... basically nothing. We had to trot over to the grandmother's for relative shindigs for about two and a half hours; the first half was wretched and the second half not bad. Upon arriving home, I intended to clean more, but "cleaning" became more like "passing out on the floor."
Though while flitting between sleep and wakefulness, when my Mozart piano CD started over again - I heard the first track, and I swear that piece was featured in Ashita no Nadja at some point. Maybe I'm just crazy but - I could swear! Will verify this with
suzanami sometime soon.
Anyway. After napping and doing those photographs, I had a theatre-related mini-revelation which I promptly recorded on paper, then we trotted off once more to go on a SUSHI ADVENTURE. I completely thought the place my friend told me about was
Asuka, and I was so excited. LOOK AT THE MENU. (Click the "menu" button over the "average rating" part.) I was just tickled six ways pink about that menu. The sister and I were scrolling up and down, biting our lips in agony, trying to decide ahead of time what to order so we wouldn't waste these long moments in the restaurant. (I had picked the clear soup, seaweed salad, and one of the speciality rolls, the Dancing Roll, ohhhh my goodness it sounds so good.) But! Apparently I fail at following directions, because it wasn't Asuka after all. It was, however, still very very good (and not quite as pricey because it was a buffet-style place). After having little samples of things like crab salad and some kind of shrimp encased in delicious things and walnut shrimp (drool drool drool ohhhh my goodness), I also did sample some sushi. I tried eel! And it was delicious. Oh, and I tried one that had tobiko - I couldn't really taste it, but then there was only a tiny bit after all, so who knows. And two crab-and-cream-cheese rolls that were mmm lovely. They also had hand rolls of some sort which were quite pretty, but bigger than I could eat, so I passed.
Oh I wish I had a bigger tummy so I could have had more walnut shrimp. I had one piece which I split with my sister because I didn't know if I'd like it - YES I LIKED IT. It was heavenly. I only had one bite but it was just... yum. Yum yum yum. Good food is nice.
Wow, my computer is so tired. I've had the same browser open for like three days - I just minimize it and close the laptop but don't shut it down. Which is probably not the best idea for days and days and days. (At school I think I got into the habit of shutting it down, oh, once every two weeks. EEK.) Probably tonight I should shut it down because it's getting a bit laggy, sigh.
Hi, it's an hour later. I took a shower and now am trying to take my generic Allegra. Swallowing pills is this stupid process for me. I just can't swallow them. During good periods I can break a 500mg caplet in half and get down each half with only a little trouble. Other times (a.k.a. lately) I have to either break them into these tiny tiny pieces (as in no bigger than half the size of the head of a cotton swab) or sometimes even crush them up and hide them in peanut butter or whatever. I've been on a bad swing lately and have been eating a lot of off-tasting peanut butter, but in the past couple days I'm sucking it up and working back up, so I'm taking the little broken-up pieces with juice.
Oh my juice. After this bottle runs out I am going to try to give up this cranberry black cherry juice. It is so good and it's the only brand (generic Giant Eagle brand) I've found that carries it, but it has high fructose corn syrup as the second ingredient, har har, and I'm trying to make myself steer away from said substance as much as possible. So goodbye, delicious juice. I have loved thee well.
Also I am sitting with a heating pad on my lap because it is now officially the beginning of That Week, whee.
Okay. This utterly pointress entry is done. (Because now it's actually 12.39am on Sunday... bah.)
