Rollerdisco = Amazing.
It was... so epic. When I first got my skates on and looked at everyone going round I was panicking thinking what the hell am I doing, with these things on my feet, with my spacky legs, dressed as a motherfucking pimp. Also we were the only people in fancy dress..... everyone else seems to think that rollerdisco equates to 80s-wear, fucking idiots.
Eventually I managed to get the hang of it but I couldn't let go of Anthony's hand, but I think I will be able to do it myself next time. I'm alright when I'm going, it's just the stopping and starting and PEOPLE FALLING OVER IN FRONT OF YOU thats the problem. There were also people that had blatantly been doing it for years (one guy had been skating since 1977) who were amazing but also swerving in and out of people, which made it a little distracting.
As for the music... Shannon and Anthony requested Prince (they know me too well) and the dj said she was going to play it but she DIDN'T, and if I hadn't enjoyed the skating so much I would have been ANGRY. The music was okay to begin with; some amazing reggae/dancehall, but towards the end it was more repetitive dance.
In fact, the only time I fell over was when I got too cocky and started dancing to the reggae and next thing I know I've dragged Anthony down too and we are just sitting there laughing. The people there seemed pretty down to earth and nice as well (apart from the guy that kept hitting on everyone and told me I had "great legs"). And FUCK, you don't even realise how much exercise you are getting till you get your skates off and realise that damn these are heavy and my bum-muscles are ACHING.
It finished at midnight so we decided to go to Shannon's friend's place, stopping off for more drink (I bought some weird rasta "herb drink", but I haven't tried it yet) and chips.. The guys in the kebab shop called me Lady Gaga (ffffffffff, no I don't care for her, I've been dressing this way years before she made it famous) and Amy "Pink" even though she is blatantly Alice in wonderland.. but I guess they are only educated in modern British culture hah.
All in all, definitely going to go again, but not dressed so pimp.
N-N-N-NOTORRRIOUS
Tequila tequila (p.s. He is a modern day pirate)
The birthday girl in her EPIC outfit. I should have made her open the coat, the outfit she rented is amazing.
I look like a huge Queen here, but I assure you I was standing on the stairs.
Blurry one of us skating
