Shiney new toy.
I finally got around to buying a laptop. I spent most of Saturday driving around issue shopping for the laptop. I went to Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy and Circuit City. I found the laptop I wanted but they were out of stock in the Asheville Store. The sales person told me they did have plenty in the Arden store. I went to meet Michelle and Kathy at Asiana. Joe and Michael were with me. We ate and then Michael and I drove to pick up the laptop. I went into the store filled out all the paper work and my card was rejected. I wound up driving to my bank’s tell and pulling out the money in multiple withdrawal’s as my bank has some stupid policy that the maximum single transaction is $300. Needless to say that irritated me. However, I got the laptop and a wireless router for the house.
I got the laptop home and immediately removed all the garbage software off of it. And put the software I use on it. It is not a game machine but I can run some of my games on a lower graphics setting and I’m very pleased.

DVD burner
A really nice screen
And wireless network card.
All in all I’m very pleased.
