Reading

I used to write a LOT when I was bored or needed a distraction.
Now, for some reason, I can't write anymore.
I don't have ideas, I can't write properly... it's horrible.

I realized that, right now, I'd rather read than write.
I feel the desire to just lock myself in my room all day and just read, read, read.
But not normal German novels. I want to read English books. Non-fiction.

Now that I have finished reading my "BPD for Dummies" book,
I got really hooked on English Non-fiction because it helps me extend my English vocabulary and grammar.

So far, I found two books I would like to read right now. One of them is
René Descartes' Meditations on First Philosophy
which is a philosophic treatise.
It was first published in the 17th century
So I expect that there is some "high language" in it
and
Clint Catalyst's Pills, Thrills, Chills, and Heartache: Adventures in the First Person
which is an antholgy of 37 short stories
written by 37 writers.
37 writers means 37 different styles.
37 different styles means 37 different vocabularies.
37 different ways of using the English language.

So these are two books which sound really interesting to me, and also help me improve my English.
So as soon as I get these books,
I will lock myself in my room,
with my English-English dictionary for the difficult words,
And just read, read, read
To forget about everything around me.

I already ordered Meditations on First Philosophy, I can get it in about 1-2 weeks.
The second one was a bit harder to get, since it's not available in Switzerland.
So I just sent a message to Clint Catalyst,
whom I have on Facebook,
and he said he'd send me a signed copy.
Awesome!

Life's good.
