Print, Birds, House

I finished a book today. I made myself do it, too, because I haven't been reading enough print lately. It was a paperback, but the point was that I was reading. I was taking specific time for myself instead of getting caught up in a busy world. I wasn't mindlessly online or doing data backups, which I do still have to finish.

While I was reading this afternoon, my cockatiels gathered around me and slept. Sleeping birds are cute with their heads tucked into their wings.

I feel restless, and I want that feeling to go away. I think I should set something on fire or float something away in water, but I should do some symbolic action of sacrifice and letting-go.

Was online chatting today and a friend asked me why I hated someone. I think hate is a very strong word, and I don't think I hate the person in question. She replied that whenever he's brought up in conversation my behavior is usually a groan and "Pansy." Well... that's a rather astute observation there.

Oh, yeah, and Crowded House are getting back together and have a new album in March. I'd buy Finn music no matter what name was on it, but I'm one of the few who isn't of the instant "This is cool!" camp. I would have rather had the new Neil solo album, but my opinions don't matter anyway.
