Grandmother's birthday
No garden updates this week. Instead of having another landscaping Thursday, my mom and I did some errends in town. I was spending money at Sam Goody both in person and online. I've ordered a Split Enz CD to go to the store (where I can use my gift certificate) and a Neil Finn DVD to go to my house.
And... today is my grandmother's birthday. She raised me for a while when I was a child, so we are close. When I called she was perky and doing quite well. Plus, she was actually acknowledging the brain surgery she had a year and a half ago. (I've never heard her talk much about it.) I think it was in connection with the fact that she was watching Jeopardy! She said that sometimes the contestants click the buzzer faster than she can think of the answer, and it didn't used to be that way for her.
I have obtained copies of Star Wars episodes 1 and 2 to watch today and tomorrow. It looks like my parents and I will try to see episode 3 on Saturday.
