[art] Original characters and fanart (2009)
Unfortunately I wasn't feeling creative enough to come up with an Easter picture this year. ._. So allow me to direct you to last years, just because I can. x3 I do have an idea for a follow-up comic, and I'll probably have a chance to draw tomorrow, so perhaps there will be a belated Easter comic again. xD
Also, I have a new DevART. Stalk me on it? =D And, although I don't think this post will get many comments, (too many original characters, not enough Yugioh or Puzzleshipping), I would like to get your opinions as to which of these pictures should be my first post to my new account. So please, let me know which one you nominate.
Because it is Easter, here's the closest thing to something Christian-ish:
This was just a quick sketch. I briefly entertained the idea of drawing it up nice and coloring it (and use the fun flash-maker feature in PSP for the energy ball thing in his hands) but I got lazy. So here's just the sketch. Angels are Easter-y...right? *pelted with stones*
This is an AntennEd. They're a species of Ed that grows out of Antennae Seeds. Antennae Seeds normally just grow extra antennae, but if you leave them planted past midnight...they grow into these guys. They're about three feet tall and they meep. x3 (Though their height can be manipulated depending on how they're planted. If their seed is planted upside down they'll grow to five feet, and if they're planted in a small pot their growth gets stunted.) We (well, mostly me and Crow) invented them in a crackverse discussion on the FMA thread of TwilightSucks. xD And they'll be starring in a future crackfic. I'm going to ignore the fact that I screwed up perspective-wise on his legs/feet and focus on his cute little :< face and giant antenna. x3
And here are Luce and Joseph, (formerly known as Kyuu, and who is currently selecting a nrw nickname. I'm sure he'll let me know eventually.) I was working on the base tattoo designs for each Major District of the society in my next NaNo and got bored and started to draw last year's guys instead. Luce wanted a tattoo. Joseph...didn't.
Here we have Jensen, the main character for this year's NaNo. I like him well enough. This is how he looked before the knife-meet-face incident. ^^;;; He was also the most difficult of all the characters to draw.
This is Jensen's BFF Sephiria. To be honest, I like her more than Jensen. She's much more badass and therefore more fun to write for. xD; What I don't like is the fact that she likes wearing sandals because feet are a bitch to draw. I hate feet. >_<
And this is Jensen's other BFF as well as love interest, Revylan. Because it wouldn't be a story by me if there wasn't slash involved. 8D I messed up the angle of his tattoo, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with this drawing. I just wish I'd remembered I was happy with it before I tried to re-do his face in the original pic in my sketch-book and messed it up horribly. I'm so glad I scanned it in before I did that. >.>
Last, but certainly not least, we have Andra. She runs the world. Literally. And she's not supposed to look like me, I despise self-inserts, it's just that I'm not that great at drawing and don't have the ability to make faces really distinctive yet. Also...
...So far she's the only character I've been able to color. (PSP 7) The rest of them I'm dying to color using a tablet. I'd also really like to re-color Andra. Her hair irritates me. I messed up inking it and can only do so much with a regular mouse. ;_; *ogles tablet on Amazon and sighs wistfully*
