Poor Atemu...don't you just hate the feeling of knowing that something at the tip of your tongue but can't get it out? *pats the Pharaoh* There's just enough ambiguity to make me ponder but I already know who it is, haha, sucks for you, Atemu.

I thought we were friends.” - wouldn't it better if Atemu said "I thought we are friends"? Iunno, using past tense in dialogue tend to make me feel that they aren't friends anymore. ^^;
“I’m not interested.” - contraction! Yes, the pain of not being able to slur our way through the English language... ;A;

Yep! I don't do very many AE fics, this was rather fun. I take it you like Mahaado. xD

That's true, but since "thought" is past tense, it seemed weird to use "are" since that's present. Plus he was saying it in jest, so I figured I could get away with it. xD
...DAMMIT. *fixes it* This is what I get for posting at school and only skimming instead of proofreading beforehand. ^^; I like slurring my way through, not using contractions is so hard. T_T

One way around using his name, if the muse so demands, is simply to refer to him as "the pharaoh." I used that technique in one of my stories so as to never use Mahaado's real name until a specific moment.

I was going to do that until I figured that if this all happened actually IN the past, (and not in the Memory World RPG), then it'd be okay to use his name. I do like your technique, though.

Happy anniversary. I'm glad you found Yugioh when you did. I like the way you turned out and if you keep it up you are going to be one awesome adult. The story of before Yami lost his memory is touching. Reading volume 9 today I actually saw hints of the Puzzleshipping! On to the card previw!

Beautiful piece :D Touch my heart, although they did mention Atemu mother...well she was alive when he was born anyway. Probably died by natural cause or sickness. Back then it was pretty famous "Nile river fever" going around and killing. Could be a possibility...

but anything getting out of the things I wanted to say, beautiful piece :) I am glad Atemu notice something was missing.
