This theme IS kind of hard. Although I say you pulled it off pretty well - though, of course, had this not been AU, Yami could have gone into protector mode. xD; Then the good ol' cliché confession time, so hurray for not doing that. ^w^
My interpretation would focus a bit more on the second part of the quotation, and only use the first segment as a setting. But then again, that's just me. Hmm. I might get a bunny for this. *wards plot bunnies off*

Aww, Yami's so nosycaring~ And somehow it does seem reasonable that Yami would sign up for something he hate just to be around the person he likes. Yuugi too...but his situation is a bit different, so blah. On that note, no one calls Yuugi a loser and gets away with it unharmed. DD: Even himself

Well as much as I love good ole' cliché confessions, I managed to avoid them this one. xD
Actually, it was originally more like that, where they were actually AT a dance, Yugi couldn't dance, etc etc. But the fic never came together so it got scrapped. xD

The part that didn't get written was Yami stalking her and making her life miserable for hurting Yugi. xDD *swats at sequel bunny*

Maybe he would be...isn't there a scene in the Genki no Shawaa theme where they're snowboarding?
