‘Good night mou hitori no boku.’
‘Good night Aibou.’
It was just a chair with a pillow and a blanket, but he was so appreciative to be back in his own world, a world now safe once again, that he could find it comfortable. And after everything that had happened, Yugi was tired enough that he could have slept anywhere. He leaned back and closed his eyes.
A translucent hand settled on his, a tentative voice slipping through their silent link. ‘Aibou?’
‘Mn…?'
‘…I missed you.’
Even half asleep, Yugi smiled into the darkness of the room. If the Orichalcos had done one good thing, perhaps showing them how much they stood to lose had been it. It had hurt…but now that they were no longer torn apart he found he could appreciate the pain for showing him just how much his spirit companion meant to him. He turned on his side, fingers closing gently over the hand of his other self. A final thought flitted from him as his body gave into exhaustion.
‘I missed you too.’

Notes: Haha, short fic. xP
The amusing thing is that when I first started this challenge, all along I had it planned, this theme was definitely a Ceremonial Battle theme. It's romantic, angsty, solemn...THE cliché theme for a CB Puzzleshippy fic. But then I thought: why on Earth should I give into clichés? There's already several themes in here, (some completed, some not) that are perfect for cliché-type fics. Why should I follow through on all of them? Thus this was born, something a little different. After all, just cause being separated taught them those things...why couldn't they have a second chance?
