28 Day Miyavi Challenge: Day 4
[Days 1-3]
Day 01 - The first Miyavi song you heard
I went to a friends house and she had Miyavi as her background. I thought he was simply stunning to look at and asked to hear some of his music. She promptly played "Jibun Kakumei". I thought the music was wonderful but couldn't see myself getting into yet another foreign band right then and having to learn a whole new language.
Of course, as you all know, i did end up listening to his music not too long after that event and subsequently learning Japanese.
Day 02 - When you became a Miyavi fan
I became a Miyavi fan when I was attempting suicide about 6 years ago.
I was just about to indulge my selfish act when i was interrupted by my text tone. There was a single text, not too much to look at. But I can tell you word for word, down to the placement of the letters on the screen, what it said. Why do I remember it so well? Because the senders number space was: (000)000-0000.
The text said this:
"Hey, look up Miyavi's "Itoshii Hito". I think it's you're style."
I decided that I could use some mood music, and brought it up on youtube. I couldn't leave my computer chair. I needed more.
Miyavi was filling the hole that was threatening to eat me alive from the inside out. Miyavi was my savior, my brother, my best friend, and above all else? He became the breath that fed me, and my soul was starved.
