well, much to the delight of...umm... the monroe girlies and the band, i have returned from new hampshire. and oh what a trip it was. 7 hours in the car with my siblings is enoguh on its own, but the fun does not stop there. not by any means!
ok, we stay in the nice lil tourist town called north conway, where everyone is either very hippy or very republican. odd, yes? well, i walk around town the first night, play some tetherball avec the kids. then i go to this way cool coffee shop called the met. they had damn good chai lattes. and it was an art gallery to boot. paintings by wilkerson and some hispanic guy....awesome. the latter did tango-inspired semi-realist stuff. way cool.
so i walk out of there looking very gay with my coffee, sandals, and and tie when lo and behold! i find a friend! enter random young lady with green dreds (bonus!) and her friend, who like my shirt. so we talk and get some candy. then we part, and being the antsy bored loser i am, i play hackey sack with some girlies in the park. they were very impressed by the jester... which of course is hte only decent trick i can do, but dont tell them that.
the rest of the days are spent kind of in a lull, either hiking, swimming in cold (and i mean turn your scrotom to shrink wrap in 2 seconds cold) water, back flipping off of rocks and setting bad examples for lil kids, going to a theme park in the rain (fun!) and watching my mom close in on a nervous break down! yay! shes a silly one
all the while, i wreck my brother in ping pong and billiards. now, lemme tell you, the jukebox they had there was incredible. i got to listen to some awesome music. mostly joplin and the beatles, but it had everything i could want. i even scared away some slip knot kids by playing "american pie" by don mcclean. show them to mess with me. and i would cry the day the music died. stay strong old school, stay strong. so while i had this awesome background music, i played pingpon against the wall, and got pretty damn good. i looked like forrest gump. my god i am a nerd. now i have a sudden need for ice cream and pac man.....
anyways! on the way home we went through providence, lovely city, and stopped at a beach. it was the only new england beach ive ever been to that wasnt rocky and cold as sin. in fact, it was alot of fun. except of course i did do a vertical belly flop and my tummy is still pink. i'll have to explain how i accomplished that feat in person. its priceless.
ill have you all know i was missing everyone and my cds by day 3. cheers.
