So aside from the pot party and loud sex down the hall, today has been pretty good (and even those two things were more amusing than annoying, given that I was awake anyway...).
Saw "LOTR: FOTR" again last night, with Eva and Leah. It was good. Duh. Noticed some things I didn't last time. Wanna see it again! (Which I'm going to, since it's only $4 for the tickets. And you have to love a movie theatre that still sells their popcorn in the *big buckets* as the large size.) Of course, I had a headache most of the day today because we sat too close to the screen and I didn't get very good sleep last night.
Moved back into the dorms this afternoon. I'm still not unpacked, and one of my blankets got left at Eva's, so I'll have to go get it. :) I'm really quite looking forward to sleeping in a REAL BED again.
Went out and had sushi with
myloveisrobotic, who's *finally* back from Japan,
amyamy, who just came back from the flatlands,
Lise and
Matt, who came in from Plattsburgh, Dale, Ben and Joanna, who came in from points unknown.
Then Lise and Matt and Amy-chan and I went to get Rebecca at the train station, because I'd said I would before break and forgot to e-mail her back and let her know I was still coming... Of course, the train was delayed by an hour, so we were all very confused. You see, Rebecca was taking the evil that is Amtrak, which is *always* delayed into Poughkeepsie. So she gave us the time it's generally delayed until. But when we got there, they were announcing a one hour delay on the trains (although I'll admit that the snow was a good excuse). There weren't any trains scheduled to get in when she'd told us she was getting in, so we weren't sure if she was going to be on the delayed 8:16, or on some other train. Turns out she'd given us the time the 8:16 usually gets in. Silly Rebecca, trying to give us accurate times! ;P
Picking-up-age happened and then we meandered our way (with not too much slipping and sliding) over to the diner, where we were joined by Ben and Joanna and Dale and Leah and
myloveisrobotic, who had all stayed behind to get Ben's car. Hanging out ensued. :)
Then I came back to my lonely hole, where I got caught up on my newsgroups (a task much aided by the fact that everyone in the known universe seems to be at Arisia). All praise the great Ghods of Arisia, who make small cons run in their first years. That notwithstanding, I'm not going. The snow is hideous, and my bank account is not in the shape it could be. (Huge paycheck obtained on Friday not withstanding -- I owe most of it to other people.)
And now I am going to bed. In a real bed. Yay. I'm still somewhat distressed, because Milo (my little stuffie turtle) hasn't turned up in either of the places I thought I could have left him, so now I don't have anything to snuggle. ::pout:: Ah, well. Real beds are good.
(Oh, and for those of you who care, C+ on the Latin final, B- for the course. I'm debating dropping it. I think I should talk to
Matt and Jesse before I do, though.)
I hope those of you who are off conning had a good time, for when you get home and read this.
Oh, yes, and I'll be in Boston next weekend for Vericon, if anyone else is planning on showing up. :)
G'night!
