Basic Prophecy Ideas-OOM
So the basic idea is that Thalia has discovered information about her future she doesn't like and finds herself unsure of what to do. Like any good Greek hero, she decides she needs to visit an Oracle and while it's likely that she could find one within Milliways, it'd be more fun if we can turn this into an adventure.
So she has discovered two books in the Library that suggest a way for her to find an Oracle and receive a Prophecy; the first, Monsters of Prophecy, details monsters whom have or were given the gift of Prophecy and the second, A History of the Labyrinth of Daedalus, suggests that monsters sometimes make temporary homes within the Labyrinth ( click here to read more about the Labyrinth as it relates to Milliways). Thalia puts two and two together and decides to go searching within the Labyrinth for a monster that can give her a Prophecy of how to deal with Luke and maybe even save him.
The monster she will find in the Labyrinth will be the Lamia and whether she gets the Prophecy or not remains to be seen.
Also, just a warning, while the book A History of the Labyrinth of Daedalus has a fair bit of useful information, it also has a lot of incorrect and possibly deadly information and there is no way of knowing which is which until it is too late.
At this point the "party" members will be Thalia and Annabeth Chase but we are open to others joining if you are interested. I will update the list of heroes here as we get volunteers.
We would ask that power levels be close to human normal or Percy Jackson level demigod as we want to make sure the adventure is a challenge for Annabeth and Thalia. Additionally, combat is likely to favor the melee and not modern firearms as monsters within the Percy Jackson canon are immune to bullets and most human made weapons. They do have a vulnerability to mystic abilities and Celestial Bronze which we can hand wave as being found within the Labyrinth...the Celestial Bronze not mystic abilities.
Feel free to use this thread for any questions now or as we continue in the quest. I will be starting the pre-threading now for the quest and once we are done, I will put up a EP in which people can join the quest within Milliways. This way we can get started right away and take all the time we need without pups being missing from the bar. Even if your pup has not met Thalia feel free to join, we can always have them meet when Thalia gathers her supplies in the EP before I publish the quest.
