44.A Dirty Job, Christopher Moore

Death has helpers. Like Santa. And they don't always want the job. Also includes a toddler with the ability to kill with a word. I loved it. It might be my second favorite Moore book, after Lamb.

45.Bloodsucking Fiends, Christopher Moore

I continue to be amused by Christopher Moore's writing. In this one, a woman finds herself turned to a vampire. She finds herself a naive small-town boy to be her companion, and hilarity ensues. And explosions.

46. Fall of Hyperion, Dan Simmons

I really like this series. I do. But Dan Simmons should never be allowed to type the word "gestured" again. No one ever points, indicates, motions. They gesture. At least once every half hour in the audiobook version. It got to the point that I cringed everytime I heard the word. It bothered me even more than the fact that Hyperion's sky is almost always referred to as being lapis lazuli. Yes, we get it. Find a synonym.

Other than the repitition, the story is wonderful.
