FIIIIIIIIIIRRRREEEEE!!!!
oooooooomyyyyyygoooshhhh!! you won't believe what happened to me yesterday!!!
i was doing my accounting hw at 12am and suddenly i heard someone from outside the house yell: 'oyy! may sunog dun ohh!' intrigued, i went out to the balcony and looked up at the sky and whoooahhh!! the sky was red with flames! the fire was soooper near our house! it was right behind our compound. apparently the public school was burning and it was made entirely out of wood so the fire was spreading fast!
so my mom told me to dress up and start gathering all my important stuff. funny! the first thing i grabbed was my books and school stuff! gosh! ganun na ba ko kanerd?? haha pero i wasn't super serious pa then, i was laughing pa nga eh cuz i was so excited! but then my mom was like getting her jewlry out of the safe na so i got mine din. then i looked at my closet and panicked! my clothesssss!!! my shoesss!!! nooooooooo!!! hahahaha then my dad came in the room and said to stop panicking cuz the fire wasn't going to reach us naman daw! great! hahahaha
next, i heard firtruck sirens and guess what! they went inside our compound!
3-4 firetrucks were parked at our house and there were around 50 firefighters. they climbed up the roof of the warehouse right beside our house and started spewing water over the burning building in hopes of killing the fire. my mom and i stood at my uncles balcony, which was on the top floor and i could totally see the firemen in action! i felt like i was in an episode of 'Third Watch'! until of course i was brought back to the reality of our lopsided economy cuz one of their hoses had a big leak! it was as if a fountain of water suddenly appeared on the roof out of nowehere! so one of the firemen stole a rag from the roof and had to wrap it around the hose to stop the leaking! funny! haha tsktsk! that's how poor our country is! our firehoses aren't even in good condition! haha
after around 30 mins of watching them i got bored so i went back to doing my accounting homework na! ang sama e noh! haha after an hour the fire finally died down thanx to the brave and courageous firemen! nax! our family gave them a contribution for their help and as a sign of gratitude for saving our house from burning din! hehe
gosh! it was a really cool experience! but i hope it doesn't happen again! at least no one got hurt and who knows? maybe next time we won't be that lucky anymore diba? hehe and i thought about the kids who studied at that school..wawa naman sila...where will they study na diba?? :( well, hope they'll be given another place where they could temporarily study at! :)
