I'm one of the biggest dorks

I actually have a pretty detailed timeline for my hermionebigbang. It starts on June 1st, 2007 and ends on June 30th, 2007. I actually just looked up weather for England during that time and found out it was a period of heavy rain and flooding. Oh. I’m going to have to incorporate this now. I even keep checking my June 2007 calendar (mini one in iCal) for referencing days of the week. (Okay, I only did precise days because StoryMill requires exact date and time for scenes if you want to use the timeline feature because it’s all automatically arranged by said date/time. So I had to look up info on the Stargate wiki to figure out what months would be plausible based on the events I was working between. It’s just been downhill from there.)
As of right now, I have 7578 words. I’ve sat down to write maybe four times. That is almost 38% percent of the minimum (20,000). Which works out nicely when you realize I’ve only written a third of the scenes. Just finished the seventh scene out of twenty-one. The problem is, they keep getting longer. As I get into the groove, my scenes keep growing past what I expect. Which is good in one way, better story. Not so good because it means I’m going to write enough more than I need to that I’m not sure how alive I’ll be when I finally finish, especially if I get a job before July 2nd. (Not the final final day but I want to finish before the absolute deadline.)
A job, you say? I have an interview at Knott’s on Friday and tomorrow I’m going to call Six Flags again about an interview (have to call them up after you submit an application online). Also applied to Apple to work at an Apple store (want, badly) and after a few more solid leads before I’m just looking at craigslist.
(A side note to the first thing. I wrote 3348 words just today. In maybe three hours or so. Yeah, I can do this.)
