New Music Makes Me Happy Inside...

It is time to talk about Warped Tour '09 and its after effects.

First band was Valencia. I hadn't listened to them before, and they were awesome. Their guitarist also has gigantic biceps. I enjoyed their set very much.

Hit The Lights w/ Valencia

Then Hit The Lights came on. They blew me away. Much better show than the AP tour. I blame it on the crowd. They even played my second favorite song, Cry Your Eyes Out. I didn't want it to end.

P.S. I love Omar.

After their set, Bmuffin and I chilled out inside the stadium for a little bit, then walked around the non profit area. He really wanted to play Rock Band, so after meeting up with Katie Pope, we did. Then, we got food, and were forced to overhear the Millionaires while chowing down on overpriced pizza. I talked a little bit with TAT's merch kid. She was a nice girl. She had us say hi to her sister on the phone. Haha. I was REALLY disappointed because All Time Low were playing around the same time as TAT, and as I said, I would give up seeing any other band for ATL. Bummer. =( Please come stateside again soon, TAT.

After exploring, Katie, Bmuffin, and I went to the main stage, watched The Bouncing Souls. Not my type of music, but they were alright. I just didn't really like the constant smell of marijuana wafting around us. After they were done, it was Underoath's turn. Holy. Crap. Muff and I tried to stay together, but it was impossible. I got pushed towards the front, and he towards the back. The crowd was vicious. This is why i no longer had access to my camera. A mosh pit was started before they even came on. I was the shortest in the lot around, and not exactly the strongest either, so guess who failed at preventing crowd surfers from landing on their head? Yeah. Almost lost my glasses a few times. Lost one plug out of my ear, but caught it in time. I actually did lose them both during All Time Low's set, though.

Speaking of... This is what I had been waiting for all day... ALL TIME FUCKING LOW!

I thought that maybe, just maybe, most of the Underoath crowd would leave before ATL came on and I would get to the barricade.... I was wrong. Apparently a lot of people had the same idea as me... Shit. But the band was amazing. The crowd during "Lost In Stereo" blew my mind. Everyone sang along, even though it's a new song. I got chills. Alex said that Detroit looked like the biggest crowd yet. Jack was being a silly perv like always, talking about lube and gay sex, and how he would hit everyone there with his meat. Love the guy. Tons of crowd surfers again, but it was worth it, and it didn't ruin the show at all for me by having balls and ass in my face every half a minute.

Oh, to the stupid fuck with a huge chain hanging from your pants and the heavy black boots.... GFY. Do I need to translate? No. Because I gave the link to my livejournal to my old English teacher.

After ATL, I got the heck out of there and found Bmuffin. Apparently, he and Katie thought I had died. Sorry guys, I couldn't reach below my neck, let alone my pockets for my phone.

We refueled and rested a bit, then those two went to watch P.O.S. I'm sorry I missed it because Muff said it was a great show. Instead, I went to see Your Best Friend. Their first Warped show and Detroit show. They were amazing. Might have had the biggest local stage crowd that day. A lot of people were singing the words. For once I shot quite a few good pictures of the band.

Love Dale.

Luckily, I got to talk to them earlier in the day. These guys are really the nicest people in the world. Get to know them and their music, please.

After that, I headed out to see Forever The Sickest Kids. When I got to the crowd, Nevershoutnever! was playing at the neighboring stage. Mr. Drew, please be original and change up your set once in a while. They were the same songs he played on the disastrous Boys Like Girls Tour a few weeks ago. I love the songs, but it's nice to have a change, you know? A couple of us in the FTSK crowd were singing along. It was nice.

I loved FTSK set. It was my favorite, really, besides YBF. The crowdsurfers didn't come until maybe the second song in, then the girls behind me started being bitches and messing with me. I was glad when I pushed to the front and away from them. Craig Owens from Chiodos came out and sang with the boys for one song. It was a great end to the day.

Got out and went to the main stage. 3oh!3 was on, and Katie and Muff were in the crowd somewhere. I hung back and sang along to Colorado Sunrise while I took pictures of the sunset. There's one really cool shot that I caught, and I didn't even notice the cool part of it until I was editing the pictures earlier today...

If you can, read the billboard.

It says, "Jobs change. Dreams don't."

Yeah, it's freaking sick! I'm hoping someone sees it and passes it around. I'm not a great photographer, but it's fun spreading your own work around when it's good...

So, that was the end of the tour for Bmuffin and I. We saw the last part of Shad's set and headed out. I couldn't remember where exactly we parked, and we ended up going the wrong way and walking around for an hour, but once we found it, everything was good. He fell asleep on the way home while I jammed to Sing It Loud (who I missed for Hit The Lights). Got home around midnight, said goodnight to my noodle, then slept it off. Woke up with a nice Warped Tour hangover. I really don't mind the after show feeling. It lets me know the passion I feel for the music.

Today was the family get together for my cousin's(goddessoftroy) 27th birthday. Damn, she's old. Haha. Now I'm home and listening to Cartel, The Summer Set, and Runner Runner. About to download some Valencia and keep it rocking until the sun comes up. Learning some new songs to play tonight.

Peace and love, livejournal.
